"C'mon! Heave!" Applejack cried out as everypony grunted and struggled. Fluttershy blushed and hid behind her hair as the other five ponies all pushed and shoved into her soft, thick, and massively fat back. The elephantine pegasus squeaked and wagged her fat forelegs around as they tipped her over, rolling ponderously forward until her huge, round gut slapped against the floor. They glared at her rump; two huge orbs of soft, cushiony fat, and the occupant stretched between them, pressed thinner than a pancake. Spike grimaced and blearily opened his flat eyes, and winced as Fluttershy's long, silky tail draped down across his face an

Applejack woke up, her eyelids twitching, and smelled flowers and animals. Lots and lots of animals. She opened her eyes with a start, her head rolling upright, and saw dozens of eyes all around her, watching her intently.
“Waaaaah!” she wailed, and the critters all collectively squeaked and squawked and scattered and bustled away; mice and lizards, squirrels and birds, rats, foxes, bunnies, gophers, hedgehogs, ferrets all fleeing in a commotion of feet and tails and wings. Little things bounced off of her bed and birds took flight from birdhouses, raining little downy feathers down on her as they flew out the open window.

"F-Flutters, let's talk about this!" Applejack said, worriedly, as she was carried down the stairs by dozens of tiny paws.
"Remember what I told you earlier? That sometimes, the ones we love don't know what's best for them?" she asked, as the animals carried Applejack to the living room. She reached through a cupboard next to her front door and pulled on a lever. There was a ratcheting sound and a mechanical whirring. Then, some of the floorboards opened up and something rose out of the floor. Beneath the floorboards was a big machine, and a couple of tires rose up into the living room. They folded outward until they were horizontal, s

Sunny poked her head out of the bushes, her nose sniffing in cautious wonder. She stared up at the big, imposing house ahead of her. Her eyes widened and her pupils narrowed. The white bunny rabbit gulped nervously, her buck teeth hanging prominently over her nervously frowning mouth.
“Scared?”
“WHAAAH!” she cried, leaping out of the bushes and turning around wildly. Her dress fluttered around her; big, clumsy, X-shaped cross-stitches holding together the picnic blanket it was made out of. From the bushes came another, darker rabbit. Sunny's shocked expression soured at the sight of her.

With a long, slow lean from behind the leg of the ottoman, the tiny, adorable rat peered out into the living room. The carpet was a vast plain that stretched out before her, the furniture towering above her head. She looked left, she looked right. It seemed the coast was clear. She skittered along the wall to the grandfather clock. She peeked out, her eyes flitting back and forth. She scampered across the room to the table. Still, nothing. She rolled under the couch and crawled to the edge of the doorway. There, across the checkerboard tile and white counters, just beside the sink, was a brand new bar of soap. “Twilight...Twilight! We got a problem!” she shouted, urgently.
“What now?” asked Twilight, turning away from her re-shelving.
“Look!” she pointed, lifting her forelegs up so Twilight could see.
“Yes?” asked Twilight. An awkward silence stretched between them, and Applejack's stomach gurgled again. Applejack shook her head, questioningly.
“...Well? Do somethin', quick!”
“Why? I thought you wanted me to help you with your problem?”
“How does this help with the curse?” she asked.
“Curse?” Twilight said, her nose crinkling at the word. “

“Applejack, let us help you!” the ponies cried out, combing every road in ponyville, entering and exiting the front doors on all the houses and stores, their voices rolling and echoing through the empty alleyways behind the buildings. Applejack's hooves made hardly any noise as she slinked along the dirty cobblestone, down low in the shade of the rows of buildings, and Rainbow Dash dithered along behind her at a low, slow hover, making no attempts to be stealthy. Anypony who saw her just ignored her. Applejack looked around cautiously as they neared a corner, and her eye w

Sunlight shined through the stained glass windows in golden, sparkling beams. Then, they slowly dimmed, fading to a meager, colorless glow in the windows. The court was silent, except for the ruckus, which was so loud it could be heard indistinctly from several chambers away. Indignant shouting, hooves clopping and dragging on the enameled stone tile, and the occasional whistle and pop of fireworks. The princesses waited until the imposing double doors leading into the court were thrown open.
“-an outrage! No! No! Get your filthy hooves off of Trixie!” the blue unicorn shouted as she thrashed around in the royal guards' grips.
...It's finished.
Finally.
At long last.
The rough draft of the last chapter of Breathers for Applejack...is complete. It's finally complete.
I want to run up to the top of something and scream whilst tearing my shirt off.
Now, of course, the bad news is that it's not done done, I still need to go over it and do a second draft, but, fortunately, revising it doesn't take nearly as much time or effort as putting the damn thing on the page in the first place. But, it will also be a four-parter. Eh, it happens. Whatever. I don't care. This story is finished, and now I just have to make it good.
Thank you all so much for being so patient wit
Hello all! It's been a long time since I've written a journal, so I figured I'd give you guys an update as to what's been going on.
Progress on Breathers continues. There was a time when it did not continue, but some shit happened that has given me cause to try and force myself into good habits, so I've been steadily pecking away at it, one page a day. I've made more progress in the last couple weeks than I have in the 8 month span between now and part 1. I've extensively outlined the whole thing in a notebook and I'm translating that to the document, which makes things easier. In trying to end this whole saga with a suitably climactic
Yeah, I'm Harry Pottering that shit, don't even care.
The sense of relief that I'm finally finishing this story is amazing. I'm working on the second half now, and after that I'm DONE. It'll be FINISHED. I can FINALLY start publishing some of my other crap. Not saying that I won't ever write pony stuff again, I just need to...take a break from it for a while. Hopefully you understand.
For now, I'm at the stage where I re-read it and have to edit/update the thing I just uploaded across three different websites cause I keep noticing things I somehow missed in my proofreading pass.
Ach, sorry for responding this late. I know that it doesn't quite help my case, but I'm not dead, I'm just really weighed down by a lot of stuff right now and writing is usually the furthest thing from my mind. I'm not sure when I'll be finished, but it's coming.
